AN INTUITIVE APPROACH
David's approach to player development utilizes a combination of technique and strategy. He is able to quickly recognize a student's strengths and weaknesses. He is then able to develop the most concise and direct way to help the student improve on the weaknesses and capitalize on their strengths.
TRAINING
David had successes at the college, and the futures tour levels, but was pulled away from his playing career when he was offered a teaching position alongside the legendary coach, Jose Higueras. Though David has had experience with teaching since he was 18 years old, and has studied under other very well respected names in tennis, he continues to cite his time with Higueras as a monumental learning period that gave him invaluable knowledge. In his own words, David says "I thought I had a pretty good understanding of the game before, but after studying with Jose, the depth and detail of every aspect of tennis was magnified exponentially." David continues to learn everyday from his students and from observing the intricacies of the game.
